SD-WAN - a Software-defined Wide Area Network is a virtual WAN architecture that allows enterprises to leverage any combination of transport services – including MPLS, LTE and broadband internet services – to securely connect users to applications.

This solution helped our organization to improve network performance even in the most challenging locations of our operation such as Africa, South America and some locations in Asia. We had been able to off-load traffic from the tradditional MPLS networks and better utilize much cheaper broadband services.

This new solution helped us with the service performance, that was the main goal, but also with the cost savings. We had been able to reduce our OPEX costs by 50% in locations that are extremely expensive from the network connectivity point of view. This project delivered ROI in one year from the finish.
